Spicy Hill Policy
Rates
All rates are quoted in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. Rate will be confirmed at time of booking.
Gratuity
Gratuity is not included. 15% is automatically added to your entire bill. The Property Manager will distribute the gratuity among
the staff in predetermined percentages on your departure. If you think the staff deserves more than the suggested rate or if you
would like to give more to one specific individual, please advise the property manager. Pre-payment of gratuity will NOT diminish
service.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfer from Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston can be arranged at a cost of US$50.00 per person round
trip.
Check in Time
Check-in time: 3PM; Check-out time: 12:00 Noon.
Confirmed Bookings
A 25% initial reservation payment of the total vacation rental amount is due at the time of booking. Confirmation will only be
given upon receipt of this initial deposit. Your payment will signify your full acceptance and agreement to all the terms and
conditions posted on this page and will be considered binding. The reservation payment amount must be increased to 50% of
the total vacation rental amount 60 days prior to arrival date. Remaining balances and/or final payment are due 30 days prior to
arrival date. Payments must be made in cash and/or by wire transfer in US dollars or converted to an agreed Jamaican
equivalent. Please refer to our General Cancellation/Refund Policy below for details on our refund policy.
Capacity of B&B Rooms or Villa
The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed Ten (10) persons, regardless of age. If individuals are added
to the party, the customer agrees to notify the Onestop immediately. Should a
group misrepresent themselves, they will be required to pay for the excess person immediately, One Hundred and Fifty Dollars
(US$150.00) per-person, per-night or shall vacate the villa without refund. Exceptions are made only for infants under the age of
three (3) years, sleeping in a basinet and will not be included in the villa's total head count.
Green Hotel
We are an environmentally responsible resort with a strong commitment to environmental management programs such as
recycling, linen and towel reuse, composting, energy conservation, water conservation, limited use of chemicals, management
and staff education and monitoring systems etc. For example, in a typical one week stay, fresh linen will be provided twice for
the week. Once at the beginning and again mid week. Air conditioners will be turned off whenever guests are out of the
bedrooms. Should you prefer other arrangements, please advise us at time of booking.
Quiet Enjoyment and Parties
Spicy Hill Villa wishes to maintain a family atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of guests. We rent to family groups and
responsible adults only. Absolutely NO house parties or functions such as weddings are allowed without advance written
permission from the property manager through Onestop Vacations. Guests shall be sufficiently quiet and peaceful, so as not to disturb
other residents of the neighborhood.
Security (non-guest policy)
Spicy Hill Villa strives to maintain good security. For security reasons, it is imperative that you do NOT invite strangers (people
you did not know prior to your trip) into the villa. Under no circumstances will non-guests be allowed access to the villa property
if it is deemed by management that these persons are of questionable character. Management reserves the right to refuse entry
to anyone they so choose. The staff is instructed to enforce this policy. This does not include your family or friends who may be
staying at another villa/hotel or reside in Jamaica. This policy is in effect to ensure your personal safety and protection. Should
you have a few guests over to visit, who have been pre-approved, there may be additional charges for meal preparation and for
any other services used. You may not invite groups of people (separate from the rental party as stated in your agreement) to the
villa for functions, such as family reunions, meetings, weddings etc. without prior written consent. Guests separate from the preapproved
rental party may NOT stay overnight. The occupancy for the villa is as stated in the reservation agreement and may
not be modified except by prior written agreement.
No Smoking Policy
We have a strict no smoking indoor policy. Smoking is permitted on the patio, balcony, pool deck, and in the garden areas.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of US$1,000.00 is required against breakages and damages. This amount will be paid upon arrival.
Cost for damages, if any, and telephone charges will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be
refunded promptly to your account when you return home.
General Cancellation/Refund Policy
All cancellations must be sent promptly to Onestop
Payments for confirmed reservations are refundable solely upon re-rental of the reserved accommodations for the exact period
of time. All re-rentals are subject to the approval of Spicy Hill Villa. Refunds will be issued from
reservation payment amounts received as a result of the re-rental of property and are subject to a 10% (or $100 minimum)
administrative cancellation fee. All cancellations that meet our Cancellation Policy will be processed in accordance to the policy
stated, less a 5% wire transfer fee.
Trip Cancellation Insurance
The unforeseen often happens in life so unpredictable circumstances may force you to alter your villa vacation travel plans. We
therefore recommend trip cancellation insurance to reduce your financial risk in the event of a sudden or late cancellation.
PLEASE PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT. Trip cancellation insurance will cover you in cases of natural disaster, inability to
travel due to illness, etc. Please be sure to verify all terms and conditions with the insurance company of your choice.
Hurricane Policy
If a Severe Tropical Storm or Hurricane Warning is issued for Jamaica, it is possible that Spicy Hill Villa may decide to close the
resort before or during your scheduled reservation. Should the resort close, you would be asked not to come or to ensure your
personal safety, you would be asked to check out and depart the island early. In either of these instances, Spicy Hill Villa will
hold on account for one year, the unused balance of your reservation which may be applied toward the payment for any new
reservation beginning within one year of the originally scheduled arrival date. Any new reservations would, of course, be subject
to availability. If a Tropical Storm Warning or Hurricane Warning is issued for Jamaica during your scheduled reservation, and
we do not ask you to check out and depart the island early, should you decide to leave anyway, you will not be refunded or
credited for the unused portion of your stay. Guests who abandon the rooms of Spicy Hill Villa for any reason whatsoever have
no rights to compensation of any type.
Liability
Spicy Hill Villa assumes no responsibility for loss, damage or injury to person, property or otherwise resulting directly or indirectly
from acts of God, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown of machinery, equipment, acts of the Government or other
authorities, de jure or de facto, wars whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage,
epidemics, quarantines, customs regulations, delays or cancellation or changes in itinerary or schedule, or from acts or
omissions of any kind or in any way related to the accommodation or transportation offered herein or due to any other
cause beyond the control of Spicy Hill Villa. No warranty of safety is made by Spicy Hill Villa. Clients should use reasonable
caution appropriate for living in a foreign country and in a house with a swimming pool. The villa, transportation carriers and other
suppliers providing travel or other services are independent contractors and not agents or employees of Spicy Hill Villa. Spicy Hill
Villa is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any such suppliers or for
any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting there from. Specifically the client
expressly releases Spicy Hill Villa from any and all liability for property loss, personal injury or death occurring for whatever
reason at Spicy Hill Villa, through use of any vehicle and or driver provided for guest's use, from its transportation providers or
from independent contractors. These conditions constitute the entire agreement of Spicy Hill Villa and the client, and they shall
not be modified except in writing.
